The low frequency produced on the C-Bass recorder are similar to those that penetrate and are realised inside the womb by the unborn child. It is the unique voice of the C-Bass recorder, combined with the extensive use of repetition, that is reminiscent of a life in the womb, generating for the infant listener familiar and intimate feelings of comfort, safety and reassurance.

Kara Ciezki
After completing her Bachelor of Music at The University of Melbourne, Kara continued her studies in the USA at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she gained her Master of Music Degree in Historical and Contemporary Performance on Recorder. Kara has won major music competitions in both Australia and the USA and is the founder and music director of the international group The Pipistrelli Ensemble.
