Jangoo Chapkhana

Jangoo Chapkhana is an all-round musician, including being an organist who has performed many other countries was well as in Australia.

Widely lauded as one of Australia’s most formidable all-round musicians, Jangoo Chapkhana is a conducting graduate from the prestigious Peter the Great Academy of Music (St Petersburg). He is the founder and Artistic Director of the chorale Lux et Veritas and the chamber orchestra Camerata 1685. An organist of international standing, he has presented solo recitals in the United States, England, Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, Egypt, South Africa, France, Italy and Argentina. His career highlights have included organ recitals in Westminster Abbey and Washington National Cathedral. Also an accomplished jazz pianist, Jangoo Chapkhana’s third jazz album Grand Bazaar was released to much acclaim in 2017.

Jangoo Chapkhana performs on the Perth Concert Hall organ that was built by Australian organ builder Ronald Sharp. The program includes a wide variety of works by Buxtehude, Sweelinck, Bach, Messaen and others. There is also 10 minute Variation on Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring composed by the organist.
