George Vi
Violinist George Vi is an educator and performer with a wide experience.
George Vi graduated from The Victorian College of the Arts. He has since worked with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, Australia’s Pro Arte, Academy of Melbourne, Ensemble Kanazawa of Japan, and was invited to take part in the 1995 World Philharmonic Orchestra. George also has played in many of the major musical productions.
As well as performing, George is a keen educator. He has worked at various schools and has mentored many young musicians involved in Melbourne Youth Music Program over the years. George has coached students from Melbourne University, Monash University and the Victorian College of the Arts, in principle studies, orchestral and chamber music.
George is currently on staff at Carey Baptist Grammar and Genazzano FCJ College and is an examiner for the Australian Music Examination Board.
