David Ashton-Smith
David Ashton-Smith is a singer, choral director and music director. His recordings include arrangements and conducting for music-theatre and opera programmes, and choir direction for soundtrack.
He arranged Rhythm of Life from Sweet Charity on Rhythm of Life (MCD 058). He conducted the instrumental ensemble for Something Familiar! Something Peculiar! (MCD 086), a mixed programme of Broadway, opera and popular song. He was choir director on the soundtrack After the Deluge (MD 3272), winner of Best Soundtrack at the 2003 Screen Music Awards.
